I am trying out Photobucket so lets see how this turns out.

2005 first entry

I went to the race track on the weekend and lost two $500 vouchers. Fortunately they were traced by their serial numbers and were returned to me when someone tried to use them. I think someone stole them from my table. I unknowingly had a double Caesar before lunch which is partly to blame.

I also went on a historic walk in Kitsilano about the women who lived I the area both first nations and settlers. Yesterday I went to the Vancouver symphony for their Paris in Springtime concert. This weekend I am off to the new downtown casino with Val. There was a $5 coupon in the Gay and Lesbian paper. We play the nickel slots. Val won $55 last visit. Her Mum won $250 on her visit. I lost as usual.

I had band practice last night. Our first concert is April 2. Show tunes. Not my favourite but I am getting a new appreciation for them by playing them.

Just a few more weeks of gay badminton left. I love it so much, I think I will look around to play co-ed at a local community ctr. I am sure they will be mostly young straight and Asian. As opposed to Gay badminton which is mostly older gay and Asian :) Most of the lesbians who play also play tennis but I just don't like tennis. Bad experience when I was young. I was a young tomboy and they were trying to be a snotty tennis club. They had a dress code and an unwelcoming attitude. I was turned right off.

Looks like my employers are moving into a house on the North Shore. I thought they might move to this shore. I am reconsidering moving to the West End to make the commute less painful.

I started this blog because my sister had one. But that is not the reason!! She said she had nothing to write about. I wanted to comment but had to sign. Free blog, OK ,so here I am.

I sould be writing Xmas cards

I have just agreed to walk another dog while I am dogsitting Katie over the Xmas holidays. Juliana asked how much I wanted. I said $10 a day. She agreed too quickly so I knew I had under charged myself again. Keiko seems like he won't be much trouble and Katie may enjoy the company. We are all going out on Monday to Lighthouse Park to see how they get along.

Badminton was cancelled tonight. Val and I were very dissappointed. I was to take Shelly and Val out for dinner tonight because Shelly always cooks for us on badminton nights. Val was off shopping or something...missing in action...so Shelly and I went to Hon's Wonton. Shelly told me to order and then we were both sorry when I ordered too much vegetarian.

I was trying to set up this Blog while doing Xmas cards and watching LOST on TV then Juliana called. I guess 3 is my limit of things I can do at once.

Well back to my cards, the blog is set up and I recorded LOST.

Just wanted to show my sister there is always something to write. Whether or not it is interesting is another story.
